Looks like Pharrell Williams has one more reason to be "Happy" and dashing.

Pharrell Williams will be honoured as a fashion icon by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Besides receiving numerous accolades for his music, the "Happy" singer is being recognized for his fashion. It is no secret that Williams is fond of fabulous shoes and high hats. WWD noted that the Fashion Icon Award is presented to an individual whose style has made a serious impact on global pop culture.

According to TheHollywoodReporter, this year's CFDA Fashion Icon Award winner has some big shoes to fill following Rihanna's win in 2014. That said, if anyone is deserving of the coveted title, it's none other than the singer, songwriter/rapper, Pharrell Williams. He joins the ranks of past honorees such as Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, Johnny Depp and last year's winner Rihanna.

Pharrell has had more than his fair share of eventful fashion moments, from wearing bellyhop-worthy attire on the red carpet, to setting a guyliner trend. It looks like there is no style risk too daring for Williams.

Talking about Williams, CFDA President Diane von Furstenburg said in a statement released Wednesday, March 18, that if cool was a person, it would undoubetly be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style, but for his kindness as well as openness. Furstenburg said she cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him.

Williams, who has a long-time partnership with Adidas, also co founded the clothing brands Ice Cream Footwear and Billionaire Boys Club.

Back in 2013, Williams topped the music charts with "Happy" from the "Despicable Me 2" soundtrack. The R&B singer also has partnered with the United Nations Foundation to promote the organization's International Day of Happiness on March 20.

Last week a Los Angeles federal jury ruled that musicians Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke were guilty of copyright infringement by using aspects of "Got to Give It Up," Marvin Gaye's song in their pop hit, "Blurred Lines." A jury awarded around $7.3 million to Marvin Gaye's family.

Pharrell Williams will be honoured with the award at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards on June 1. The awards will be held at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.
