The "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date has been allegedly set to be February 2016.

Venture Capital Post has reported that new details about the plot of "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been unveiled.

"Sora will be back in the upcoming 'Kingdom Hearts 3' as the story continues from the Dream Drop Distance game. Riku, Donald Duck, Goofy and King Mickey will be back to help Sora in his search for the seven guardians of light and the "Key to Return Hearts". The group will also encounter the previous Keyblade wielders in order to stop Xehanort's plans," wrote Venture Capital Post.

Venture Capital Post then stated, ""The Key to Return Hearts" was earlier revealed to be an important piece in the plot of the upcoming game and it could be pivotal in final confrontation between Sora and Master Xehanort in 'Kingdom Hearts 3'"

Previously, a post by Sony in the official PlayStation blog confirmed that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not be released this 2015.

All of the known release dates of every game that would come out this 2015 as well as all the games that would be released this 2015 but with no official release date have been listed down by Sony in the post.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" was not included in the list thus confirming that the game would be out in 2016 not on 2015.

Cyberland has then reported that the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date has been allegedly set by Square Enix to be on February 2016 and that tons of new details about "KH3" would be unveiled at "E3 2015".

"It can now be confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be available by February of next year. You guys can expect gameplay trailers and cinematic trailers at E3," wrote Cyberland.
