Even with all the depressing news surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers' season, there's a silver lining in Jordan Clarkson who is making a case against the squad pursuing Rajon Rondo or Goran Dragic in free agency.

After the All-Star break when he was inserted into the starting lineup, Jordan Clarkson has averaged 15.6 points, dished 5 assists and grabbed 4.8 rebounds for the Los Angeles Lakers.

"His court awareness has improved, both in terms of distributing over scoring and a better defensive awareness. By the standards of any rookie, he's been rock solid, good enough to land on the NBA's All-Rookie squad. Judged by draft position (46th) Clarkson is a revelation," Lakers Nation said.

But the blog said there's a lot of questions about Jordan Clarkson, even if most of the Los Angeles Lakers news regarding the rookie are mostly positive.

"Is he the point guard of the future? Do they need to draft one this summer? Sign one? Is Clarkson a product of context, a good enough player putting up inflated numbers on a terrible team?" it said.

Jordan Clarkson will make just $845,059 for the 15-16 season, which won't become fully guaranteed with the Los Angeles Lakers until he is on their opening night roster.

In the Los Angeles Lakers news from Real GM, the purple and gold squad is reportedly looking to upgrade its point guard position-as Jeremy Lin is allegedly going to walk out--with Rajon Rondo and Goran Dragic.

Byron Scott said of Jordan Clarkson, "We know he's going to be on our team next year. But we have to add pieces. There's no doubt about that. I don't think we necessarily are saying we're building around him. But we're adding pieces with him."

Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson was the rookie of the month in the Western Conference for March, which butresses his case to be included in the All-Rookie First Team, said Lakers.com.

"Whether or not Clarkson makes the All-Rookie First Team, he has already established himself as a player the Lakers value moving forward," it said, adding that the last time players picked in the second round named to the first team were Gary Neal and Landry Fields.
