On April 23, the Korean outlet Sports Donga published a report which announced a change in the premiere date of the highly anticipated SBS drama, "Producer."

According to the report, representatives from the KBS2 drama presented their official statement about the delay. "It was previously announced that 'Producer' would premiere on May 8," he said. "'Producer' will air its first episode on May 15. We apologize for the unanticipated change in schedule."

The unnamed representative attributed the delay to the rigorous production schedule, which has unfortunately not met the anticipated release date.

Reports of the delay in schedule follow the release of teaser photos depicting Kim Soo Hyun as Baek Seung Chan, a new producer who follows his first love into a career in variety programming. He is the graduate of an esteemed law school program, who becomes an intrepid television producer at KBS. The character still photos featuring Kim Soo Hyun were taken during filming on April 5. He appears innocent in the pictures, although the true nature of his personality has yet to be revealed.

The series continues to stir anticipation through its release of character stills and variety show-based teasers. On April 20, KBS released a video teaser which captured the characters during a comical interaction on a bus. The premise of the teaser demonstrates the meta nature of the series, when one considers the iconic bus scenes from "Dream High" which starred Kim Soo Hyun and IU. Also, it is difficult to picture any of the high caliber stars on public transportation, unless they were being filmed for a variety show or drama series.

Many of the previous teasers bore a strong resemblance for the KBS series, "Music Bank." Her character provides explanation for the bevvy of K-pop idols who are scheduled to make guest appearances on the show.

In addition to its main cast, the highly anticipated series will feature cameo appearances from luminaries in K-pop including Girls' Generation members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun. 2PM's Nichkhun and Park Jin Young (J.Y. Park) are also scheduled to make cameo appearances.

Solo vocalist IU stars as Cindy, a top singer, who will undoubtedly compete for Kim Soo Hyun's affection.

"Producer" will premiere on May 15 at 9:15 p.m. KST.
