A faster and more responsive version of Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4501 Android One smartphone with improved battery life was quietly launched by Micromax.

India's popular phone maker, Micromax, has launched an upgraded version of its Micromax Canvas A1 Android One smartphone and the enhanced variant is dubbed Canvas A1 AQ4502.

The new variant features 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD Card), which is double to its earlier version, Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4501. The Canvas A1 AQ4501 was launched for Rs. 6,499 (about $102). The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is listed on the company's website, however price details are not yet revealed.

However, the Canvas A1 AQ4502 is available on eBay for Rs. 6,039 (about $95).

The Canvas A1 AQ4502 boasts of a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) IPS Display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core Processor with 1GB RAM. In addition, it features a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front camera. The Dual-SIM phone comes with dual standby support, according to records on MakTechBlog.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the Canvas A1 AQ4502 includes 3G, Micro-USB, USB OTG, Bluetooth, WLAN, GPS/AGPS, GPRS/EDGE, and Wi-Fi. It gives 160 hrs of standby time and 10 hours of talk time, thanks to its 1,700 mAh battery. FM Radio facility is available too.

Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 comes with several pre-installed apps and games. As far as supporting audio formats are concerned, the new device supports MP3, AAC, WMA, AMR and 3GP, MP4, WMV, and FLV are supporting video files working formats, according to GSM Arena.
