Song Jae Rim recently completed a series of interviews, following the conclusion of "Unkind Women." Although, he was initially known for his roles in "Moon Embracing the Sun" and "Inspiring Generation," he has received increased attention since joining the cast of "We Got Married." Song and his virtual wife, Kim So Eun, are scheduled to depart from the series on June 13.
In an interview published by Newsen, the 30-year-old actor addressed plastic surgery rumors and his struggles with weight gain. He described his transition from his waif-like appearance in "Moon Embracing the Sun," to the bulkier frame that was highlighted during shirtless shots in "We Got Married."
In the article, he discussed the change in his appearance, which led Korean netizens to speculate as to whether he had received what is known as a double jaw procedure. "I've gained some weight, so the sharpness of my face is gone," said Song. "I purposefully gained weight when I was in my '20s, but now that I am in my '30s, I can gain weight after eating three meals a day."
While his transition from 130 lbs. (59 kg) to 163 lbs. (74 kg) may be a point of contention for the popular star, his fan base continues to grow. Song is currently one of the hottest Korean stars who is 30 and older, demonstrating that some people get more attractive as they age.
