August 2015 was a strong month for Korean music, but several K-Drama soundtracks managed to stay above the fray of idol group releases. Of particular note were original soundtracks that captured the emotional complexity and romantic vibe of dramas like "Oh My Ghost" and "Yong Pal."
AOMG co-founder Jay Park made a rare appearance on the fourth release of the "Oh My Ghost" soundtrack with "Eyes."
Strong soundtracks can be used to illustrate romantic conflicts with the protagonists and this was accomplished by Jay Park. The song provides a romantic backdrop for the budding romance of
"Eyes" followed the release of "Leave," the soundtrack contribution by Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young) and Kang Sun Woo (Cho Jung Seok).
BEAST provided a gorgeous musical backdrop for "Scholar Who Walks the Night" with their track, "Without You." "Without You" highlights the struggle faced by Kim Seung Yeol (Lee Joong Gi) as he attempts to keep his romantic feelings hidden from Jo Yang Sun (Lee Yoo Bi).
G.NA appeared on the "Scholar Who Walks the Night" soundtrack with the tender song, "Don't Cry."
The One emotionally crooned "To My Love" for SBS' hit medical drama, "Yong Pal." "Yong Pal" continues to deliver record-breaking ratings, in a year that has delivered lack-luster viewership for Korean drama. "To My Love" captures the fragile feelings of Kim Tae Hyun (Joon Won), who is faced with difficult decisions as a surgeon who forgoes conventional wisdom to provide care for criminals and Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee).
