'Gu Family Book' Lee Seung Gi Cuts Lee Sung Jae's Hand Off 'Shocking Last Words'

"Gu Family Book" Lee Sung Jae left a few last words as he fell to his death.

June 25, the last episode of the MBC drama "Gu Family Book" featured Park Chung Jo (Lee Yoo Bi) poisoning Jo Kwan Woong (Lee Sung Jae) in his prison cell.

Dam Yeo Wool (Bae Suzy) had died from getting shot by one of Jo Kwan Woong's men who was trying to kill Choi Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi). Dam Pyung Joon (Jo Sung Ha) becomes furious and punishes him with his own hands. While Jo Kwan Woong tries to run away, Choi Kang Chi suddenly appears.

Choi Kang Chi cuts off Jo Kwan Woong's right hand. Watching Jo Kwan Woon in pain, Choi Kang Chi says, "Does it hurt? This is nothing compared to all the pain you have caused us." Jo Kwan Woong gets arrested soon after for selling top secret information of the Chosun Dynasty.

A few days later, Park Chung Jo goes to jail to see Jo Kwan Woong. She offers him a drink before his death. Jo Kwan Woong smiles mysteriously and asks why she is being kind to him. Park Chung Jo just says that she only wants to kill him with her own hands.

Jo Kwan Woong drinks the alcohol she poured him and asks for another. He then says, "It was such a meaningless life. It was so boring. It wasn't greed. I just wanted to feel alive."
