Nick Jonas reportedly has a new girlfriend, and it's no other than 36-year-old actress Kate Hudson.

Many fans have been surprised over Nick Jonas' new girlfriend as Kate Hudson is much older than women formerly linked to him including Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez.

"Dating up seems to be the trend in young Hollywood right now," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported in a news article. "Ironically, the two girls who have both been linked to Jonas - Selena and Kendall - have been reportedly hooking up with much older actor Orlando Bloom."

"Regardless, of whether it is the 'in' thing to do right now - we can probably all agree that this fling between Hudson and Jonas will have a short shelf life, so we're not going to lose any sleep trying to think of a cute nickname to call the new couple," the report continued.

There are speculations that Nick Jonas chose to date Hollywood A-lister like Kate Hudson to make a point to to her ex-girlfriend of two years, Olivia Culpo.

According to a news report, Olivia Culpo is reportedly dating former NFL star Tim Tebow.

"Olivia Culpo, best known as Miss Universe and Miss USA 2012, as well as Nick Jonas' ex, is now being linked to former NFL star Tim Tebow according to our sources," a news report of Terez Owens gossip blog said.

"We're being told Tim and Olivia have been spotted together on several occasions, and in typical Tebow fashion, he's not rushing to settle down quite yet says our source," the article added.
