Kate Middleton Defies Queen Elizabeth With Braless Fashion Choice?
Kate Middleton is one of the most monitored fashion icons worldwide. Her style choices are mostly conservative - her skirts do not go higher than the knee and her sleeves always covers her shoulders.
That is why many royal watchers have been shocked over the news that Prince William's wife went braless in the London premiere of the James Bond film "Spectre."
"Kate Middleton's pale blue full-length gown by Jenny Packham may have caused some to scoff at how matronly she looked, but for a Princess to wear a sheer, backless dress with a moderate V-neck is damn near shocking in the royal world," Celeb Dirty Laundry wrote in a news article about the Duchess' latest fashion choice.
"Especially after Queen Elizabeth infamously ordered the hems on her skirts and dresses lowered after Kate and Prince William were engaged," the news report continued.
"The Duchess' real power move was in her choice to go braless. This gown may have come off as matronly to the average Joe, but in the royal world, a sheer, backless, and braless dress is like wearing lingerie down the red carpet."
CDL recounted another instance when Kate Middleton allegedly defied royal standards in fashion.
"The Duchess of Cambridge flashed her inner thigh while visiting the Anna Freud Centre back in September. The belted Ralph Lauren shirtdress skimmed her upper thigh as she walked, nearly giving the public at her panties."
It has previously reported that Queen Elizabeth isn't fond of another one of Kate Middleton's fashion choice.
"The Queen isn't a fan of wedged shoes," a source reportedly told Vanity Fair, as quoted in an earlier news report. "She really doesn't like them and it's well known among the women in the family."
"Certainly Kate's never been photographed in wedges in Her Majesty's company," Vanity Fair noted.
Despite knowing that the Queen hates wedged heels, Kate Middleton has been spotted sporting a pair in various events, sparking speculations that Kate is not bowing down to the Queen at all times.
