Busan International Film Festival Successful Opening
The 18th Busan International Film Festival's opening ceremony took place at an outdoor theater from Busan Cinema Center around 7 p.m. on October 3, 2013. In this opening ceremony, many old and new actors and actresses have attending.
An actor from Hong Kong, Aaron Kwok, took the microphone as a host. National and international top stars such as Lee Byung Heon, Ryu Seong Ryong, Jang Baek Ji, Im Dal Hwa, Theresa Palmer, and Angelababy. During last year's 17th Busan International Film Festival, it has been issued that presidential candidates Park Geun Hye from Saenuri party and Moon Jae In from democratic integration party had stepped on the red carpet prior to the presidential election.
This year, on the other hand, Busan International Film Festival did not have many big stars who can captivate the audience's attention in one breath. However, many stars such as Aaron Kwok, Kang Su Yeon, Ha Ji Won, Kim Hyo Jin, Park Jung Hun, Um Tae Ung, Han Hyo Ju, and Lee Yeon Hee walked on the red carpet and received loud applaud from the audience.
There were also many new stars, such as Lee Hyun Woo, Park Seo Jun, Kim Yun Hye and Kim Shi Hu, and the stars who visited the Busan International Film Festival for the first time this year, such as Lee Jun, Taek Yeon, and Kim Hyung Jun.
It is interesting that representative Ahn Chul Su walked on the red carpet this year whereas he did not last year, prior to the presidential campaign.
