Family Comes First! Nicki Minaj’s Pays P100,000 Bail For Brother Accused Of Raping 12-year-old

When Jelani Maraj tied the knot earlier this year, Nicki Minaj paid for the wedding. When Nicki Minaj's brother was charged with raping a 12-year-old girl, the "Anaconda" hitmaker paid for his P100,000 bail.

On Thursday, Nicki Minaj's brother was arraigned on first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct against a child.

"He was arrested on Tuesday but suffered an unknown medical condition that required him to be arraigned two days later at Nassau University Medical Center," said USA Today.

It was only in August when the family was happily celebrating the wedding of Nicki Minaj's brother to Jacqueline Robinson in New York.

Accordingly, the rape occurred over the course of several weeks from April to November as Nicki Minaj's brother had access to the minor.

Nicki Minaj posted on Instagram a photo of her and brother Jelani as she wrote, "I would cross the ocean for u. I would go & bring u the moon. Promise u. For u I will. I love my brother so much man. Can't believe I cried during his wedding and his first dance like a punk.

PageSix reported that had the bond would have been higher, Nicki Minaj was prepared to issue a letter of credit from her California bank account reportedly worth $2 million.

"Minaj will be responsible for the fees associated with securing the the bond, typically 6 percent to 10 percent of the bond amount, or $6,000 to $10,000," said the report.

Hollywood Life, talking to somebody allegedly close to the singer, claimed that Nicki Minaj can only get busy while her brother undergoes the process of the suit in connection to the rape charge.

"Nicki's at a loss for words at her brother's situation," the alleged insider claimed. "Her heart has dropped. She loves her brother terribly and is hoping these charges will be proven false."
