Another Samsung Galaxy A9 latest leaks have been gathered by the keen eyes of tech observers. This time, the upcoming additional A-series will have a thin body and a powerful battery. While smartphones are getting prettier-looking, thinner, lighter and more sophisticated, they are battery-hungry so the phones lose power easily.
The A9 is said to be the company's flagship for the A-series. Though its specs are of mid-range, its looks are high end, as per Samsung Galaxy A9 leaks so far. It will join the newly announced the Galaxy A series 2016, the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7.
The A9 will sport a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen and will be powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 620 processor with 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores that works with the Adreno 510 which takes charge of the graphics. Other stuff under its hood are 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 13MP camera with OIS and bright f/1.9 aperture,8MP secondary snapper that has support for panoramic pictures, a massive 4000mAh battery and LTE Cat.7 connectivity.
According to the Samsung Galaxy A9 leaks, the upcoming handset follows the trend of the refreshed Galaxy A 2016 - a metal frame build and dual 2.5D glass panels. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner so consumers can use it for the wireless mobile payment Samsung Pay. However, to run the A9 is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and not the recent Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Though it sounds so good, its processor is mid-range, but overall, the phone looks excellent, said Phandroid.
A newer post on GSM Arena said it is interesting to have the A9 a bit more compact than the S7 Plus. The Samsung Galaxy A9 leaks reveal its dimension to be 161.9 x 81.3 x 7.34mm compared to the S7 Plus which also has the same 6-inch display.
The Galaxy A9 is taller than the Galaxy Note 5 and perhaps, he Galaxy Note 6 will be taller as well.
