John is a 20-year-old Milwaukee-native who has been sleeping in Venice Beach after leaving home when he was 19 to find his fame and fortune in California. He also earned the nickname "Romeo of Venice Beach" after picking up girls to spend the night at their houses in certain occasions.

John was noticed by Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid when he went to help them shoo away seagulls swarming the models.

"Then I saw seagulls swarming around the girls because they brought the food out and I started walking over there to shoo them away," John told the Mail.

"One of the girls said to me, 'You're cute,' so I turned around and we struck up conversation," John added, according to the news outlet. "I didn't realize who I was speaking to at first."

"I told them my story, I told them how I was a model back home and how I came here to follow my dream and try get an agency, how I'm living the hippie life, living out on the beach crashing on the sand right now," he continued.

He then went on to saying that Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid helped him to land a modeling career at Two Management, the agency where Kendall got her start, according to The Huffington Post.

"They said they could help me out and get me an agency and they got me with Two Management - the agency I signed with," he said.

John said that he has been "talking to Kendall's manager a lot." Although after that fateful encounter, John admitted that he didn't keep in touch with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid beacuse "they are way too famous" adding that he "wanted to say thank you to them" because they are the reason where he is right now.

"It’s a crazy story. I’m super grateful. I was just in the right place at the right time," he said.
