Rita Ora, Jay Z's Rumored Affair Behind Record Label Roc Nation Abandoning 'The Voice UK' Judge? Lawsuit Continues

The rumors about Jay Z cheating on Beyonce with Rita Ora have been going on for some time, and these have fractured her standing on the rapper's Roc Nation.

But now "The Voice UK" judge is suing Roc Nation on the seven-year rule after her relationship with Jay Z's label is "irrevocably damaged."

The lawsuit filed by Rita Ora against Jay Z's label claimed, "Rita's relationship with Roc Nation is irrevocably damaged. Fortunately for Rita, the California legislature had the foresight to protect its artists from the sorts of vicissitudes she's experienced with Roc Nation."

"When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives were very involved with her as an artist. Rita's remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company."

Rita Ora has only released one album since signing on to Jay Z's label, Roc nation.

But the problem is when in 2013, Roc Nation tapped Universal as its distribution partner when its contract with Sony ended. Rita Ora was left behind at Sony.

"Between Sony's limited economic return from its orphaned relationship with Roc Nation and Sony's indirect relationship with Rita, Rita is caught in a political quagmire of dysfunction," the complaint added.

There might be something deeper in the way Rita Ora is being handled at Roc Nation, in light of the rumors that "The Voice UK" judge had an affair with Jay Z that almost caused a divorce between him and Beyonce.

"Talk of a hookup between Jay Z and Rita has been bubbling for years. Jay signed Rita to his Roc Nation label in 2009," said Hollywood Life. "And reports came out claiming that Rita had exchanged sex for a record deal. The two also appeared at Jay Z's Made in America music festival in 2012."
