Episode 9 Recap: Kim Tae-Hee Reunites With Her Family in "Hi Bye, Mama"

In the recent episode of "Hi Bye Mama," a flashback from her married life made Cha Yu-Ri try to make things light for her former husband Jo Kang-Hwa.

On his way home, Yu-Ri surprised him at the bus station and comforted him when things were tough at work. Then, Kang-Hwa succumbed to depression when his wife died. Weeks after Yu-Ri's death, he lost his appetite and locked himself up in his room. One time, Kang-Hwa was at a ramen house and was staring blankly. Oh Min-Jeong then arrived and sat with him as she ordered ramen. It was the first time that Kang-Hwa smiled again and their story began. 

Eun-Sook (Yu-Ri's mother) fell down from her bike while staring at a familiar face. Hyeon-Jeong signaled Yu-Ri to look at the woman at her back. Yu-Ri tilted her head and saw Eun-sook her mother. Yu-Ri uttered the word mother as she cried looking at her. Eun-Sook collapsed seeing Yu-Ri. 

Kang-Hwa rushed to the hospital where Yu-Ri's mother was confined after their meeting. Eun-Sook opened her eyes and saw her daughter Yu-Ri. They cried and hugged tightly. In a few minutes, Moo-Poong (Yu-Ri's father) and Yun Ji (Yu-Ri's younger sister) arrived at the hospital. They all looked shocked and approached Yu-Ri and cried along.  

Broken-hearted Hyeon-Jeong tried to get answers from her husband. She shared how sad it was to hear that Yu-Ri does not want her old life back. Yu-Ri does not want to bother kang-Hwa's married life because she feels that he already loves Min-Jeong. 

Yu-Ri's family could not contain the happiness that they kept hugging her. Eun-Sook and her husband missed their daughter so much. They cooked all the favorite food of Yu-Ri. 

In another scene, Min-Jeong sent Seo-Woo off to her nursery school and was greeted by Yu-Ri at the welcome area. She was surprised when Yu-Ri gave her two cans of her favorite coffee. Min-Jeong reminded her to pick Seo-Woo up after school. Hyeon-Jeong was surprised to see Min-Jeong at the restaurant. Min-Jeong shared the other can of coffee with her and said that Yu-Ri gave it. Hyeon-Jung's face turned pale because of Yu-Ri's plan.    

It was Yu-Ri's first day working as a pick-up helper of Seo-Woo. She felt energized to start the afternoon with Seo-Woo. Her plan was to meet the ghost who stayed at Seo-Woo's house and so she prepared the red beans. Min-Jeong gave Yu-Ri the schedule of all the special classes Seo-Woo needed to attend for the day.

Yu-Ri felt tired and discovered the activities Seo-Woo does. After the art class, Seo-Woo gave Yu-Ri an egg with small drawings at the side. On their way home, Min-Jeong met them and Seo-Woo gave her an egg with colorful paintings. Yu-Ri felt sad seeing Seo-Woo's affection for Min-Jeong.

Min-Jeong then invited Yu-Ri to come with them to their house and look around the place. Yu-Ri and Seo-Woo instantly smiled. Kang-Hwa made sure to arrive home late so that he would not see Yu-Ri but as he got inside their house, he was shocked to see Yu-Ri standing beside Seo-Woo.

He directly went inside his office to avoid Min-Jeong and Yu-Ri. Min-Jeong prepared the food, while Yu-Ri looked around to check if there were any lost ghosts. She tried to find them but could not move with Min-Jeong in the kitchen. 

Yu-Ri decided to go home early and Min-Jeong and Seo-Woo saw her off.
