The Cast of "That Guy is That Guy" Gets Immersed in Their Roles During First Script Reading
KBS 2TV's new drama "That Guy is That Guy," which will be airing every Monday and Tuesday, shared photos taken from its first script reading.
The rom-com series is a story about a woman who chooses not to be involved in romantic relationships and marriage because of multiple heartbreaks.
However, she receives two confession letters from two men: one who chooses to change his current relationship status with this woman through love, who is a famous webcomic writer and has been friends with her since they were young, while the other one is a CEO of a pharmaceutical company, who shows a cold personality, which makes him good in business.
The story will include themes of the past and real to life topics, such as relationships, marriage, and singlehood.
Before filming, director Choi Yoon Suk showed excitement, given that this is his first-ever romantic-comedy drama. On the day of the script reading, the actors became so immersed in their lines that each showed a perfect portrayal of their roles and created good synergy.
Hwang Jung Eum plays the role of Seo Hyun Joo, a webtoon team manager. In the first script reading, Hwang Jung Eum said to have brightened the room with her cheerfulness and adaptable acting skills. Yoon Hyun Min will be taking the role of Hwang Ji Woo, who is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company who gave his charms by showing his cold charisma and warm heart.
Seo Ji Hoon will be portraying the role of Park Do Kyum, a star webtoon author. In the script reading, he showed a good portrayal of his character's playful charm and seriousness when needed. Seo Ji Hoon's character will be sharing an interesting and special sibling-like relationship with Seo Hyun Joo that viewers should be anticipating for the upcoming romantic comedy.
Additionally, Choi Myung Gil will be playing the role of Kim Sun Hee, the director of the Sejong Medical Foundation. Jo Woo Ri will be playing Kim Sun Hee's daughter, Han Seo Yoon. Other brilliant actors present in the first script reading and who we should also anticipate in the upcoming series are Hwang Young Hee, Seo Hyun Chul, No Susanna, Song Jin Woo, Kim Kyu Sun and Song Sang Eun.
Every actor in the first script reading shared a perfect unquestionable portrayal of their characters and showed wonderful chemistry with one another. With their skills, they will surely add more synergy in the forthcoming romantic-comedy drama.
