Kim Yo Han and So Ju Yeon in Talks to Star in Korean Remake of "A Love So Beautiful"
Korean dramas do not limit their ability to showcase how good they are. A Korean remake of the Chinese hit romance drama "A Love So Beautiful" (2017) is about to grace the small screens!
So Ju Yeon, as per her agency, received a casting offer for Chen Xiaoxi. She is checking the script and positively considering the drama. Her last appearance is from the hit medical series, "Dr. Romantic 2," where she made good onscreen chemistry with her then co-star Kim Min Jae. She is 26 years old with a petite build, dimples, and a cute smile, so it seems she would fit the role really well.
Considering the lead role of Jiang Chen in talks right now is Kim Yo Han. He is known by the mononym Yohan, K-pop singer, and actor. His fans were excited to see that he was supposed to star in a school series "School 2020," but the production later announced that the show got canceled due to female lead role issues.
Kim Yo Han's agency released a statement that he is in discussion for the said drama. If this will push through, he will be in character as Jiang Chen. In the drama's physical requirements, the tall and handsome characteristics fit Yohan. He is turning 21 years old this coming September.
However, his agency mentioned that his participation is not yet confirmed, but many eager to see him acting onscreen.
Though few fans commented that the age difference does not match Ju Yeon and Yohan, this kind of arrangement is not new in the Korean dramas. What matters is the chemistry and the plot of the story.
If this project materializes, it will be Yohan's first debut as an actor in small screen television. He will also be busy in preparation for debuting in a new boy group, "OUIBOYZ."
The Chinese version of "A Love So Beautiful" gained a massive over 5.5 billion views all across China's streaming websites, which became the most popular Chinese teen drama. The story tackles the lives of two high school students who are also neighbors.
