Krystal All Geared Up for Her Role in Upcoming OCN's "Search"
Jung Soo Jung Chrystal, or who we all know as simply Krystal, happens to be in one of the upcoming K-dramas that will be premiering next month!
She will be starring as Son Ye Rim in the new military series, "Search", that is mainly about a military force uncovering the sudden disappearance people and deaths that is within the perimeters of the military base. She works as the special officer and lieutenant of three different categories - Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Defense Command.
Both her leadership and intelligence brought her as to where she is now in the military, she has worked hard, she topped the ROTC during her training days. After graduating, she did not slack off but she went abroad and eventually she was able to complete her overseas training in the United States Military Academy (USMA).
She has earned her spot and everyone on their base trusts her with the choices that she makes in terms of solving crimes. She sees even the smallest details in a crime scene and she is able to solve the clue and jump from one place to another.
The producers showed snippets from the film, and they showed two pictures of Son Ye Rim. One is she is fixing her helmet, looking all young, glowing and so focused with what she is going accomplish in her day. On the second one, she seems to be in a meeting together with her peers and she wears her green military uniform while writing in a notebook.
The team even commended her for letting Son Ye Rim shine even though she was being played by the one and only Krystal. They even mentioned to look forward to the series by October since it will be really interesting to see how a woman can become the brains of an institution. We would often discriminate women when she would do things that only "boys" should do.
Through this series, may we learn a thing or two about the capabilities of what women can do in today's society by looking forward and watching the drama. We all know that Krystal would certainly deliver her role very well despite it being different to the genres that she would usually play. So, let us show our support in marking our calendars on October!
ABOUT KRYSTAL
Krystal was born in San Francisco, California on October 24, 1996. She is a former member of a girl group, f(x) and not only that, her sister Jessica Jung is also a former member of Girls' Generation.
Moreover, Krystal started her career when someone who works in SM Entertainment discovered them when they visited Korea when they were only five years old. She even made her debut through "More Charming by the Day" last 2010. But it wasn't until she made lead role on the "Heirs" three years later and "She's so Lovable" a year after "Heirs" released.
