Song Joong Ki shared how he related to his character as Kim Taeho in the upcoming sci-fi film "Space Sweepers"!
"Space Sweepers" is set in the future in the year 2092. It will tell the story of the journey of the scavenging crew of The Victory a space debris collectorship. The movie's summer release was postponed due to Covid-19 but the long wait is finally over!

On February 2, a press conference was held for the Netflix movie and the actor shared his experiences and how he is able to relate to his character. Song Jong Ki stated that when he first discovered the character of Taeho, he immediately thought of the word "desperation". The actor went on to share that he started to think that he is a man who would put everything in his life down and had no thoughts or stagnancy. The actor revealed that his actual state of mind and that of his character Taeho was the same when they are filming the movie.

Discussing his character in the film, Song Joong Ki shared that Taeho experienced the highs and lows of life and in a hopeless situation; he could be seen as a disorderly person. The actor continued that he thinks that he's the kind of person that was able to grow and gain courage little by little after he met and worked with his team. To make it more clear, the crew has helped his character a lot in the sense of developing his positive personality.

During the press conference, Song Joong Ki was able to reveal that he is more excited than pressured over starring in "Space Sweepers" which is known to be South Korea's first "space blockbuster." The actor shared that to be able to carry the title of 'Korea's first space blockbuster,' it almost felt like having the Korean flag place on their chest. The celebrity went on sharing that they didn't want to feel the pressure or burden by that thought however, he thinks that the burden that the director carries on his shoulder was even heavier.

"Space Sweepers" will mark as Song's return to the big screen after almost 4 years. His last movie project was released way back in 2017 titled "The Battleship Island"
