Joo Won to Possibly Star in Netflix’s New Blockbuster Film ‘Carter’
"My Sassy Girl" star Joo Won is being courted to play in the forthcoming Netflix film "Carter"!
On Feb. 26, a representative from Joo Won's home agency Santa Claus Entertainment said, "Our artist Joo Won received an offer to be part of the upcoming Netflix film 'Carter'. But there was no confirmation yet if he will be accepting or not the role."
Joo Won to Possibly Portray as an Agent in the Film "Carter"
Meanwhile, the action movie "Carter" will tell the story of the mind-blowing chase of Agent Carter, who was involved in a mysterious operation with all his memories lost in the background of the Korean borders infected by a virus. The director of "The Evil Woman" and "I Am the Killer" Jung Byung Gil will helm the said blockbuster film.
The previous drama of the 33-year-old actor was in 2020, with SBS' Friday-Saturday series "Alice" where he played the character of Park Jin Gyeom. He also won an award at the SBS Drama Awards in 2020 as best actor selected by the producers. And currently, he is in the hit musical "Ghost."
Many are already curious and at the same time excited whether the actor would accept the film offer. Joo Won had played various characters before that gave a big impact to the viewers. With his excellent acting, people watching his work from drama to film can easily immerse themselves in the story because of how good Joo Won portrayed the role given to him.
"Yong Pal" is One of the Noteworthy Dramas of Joo Won
One of his notable dramas was "Yong Pal" in 2015. He played the character of Kim Tae Hyun, an excellent medical surgeon, but is constantly troubled by debt collectors because of his younger sister.
Kim Tae Hyun's younger sibling needs to undergo kidney dialysis which costs a big amount of money. In order for him to make more money and shoulder all the expenses of his sister, he decided to go see hospital patients privately and ask for a high fee in every consultation. Tae Hyun doesn't mind if the patients are criminals or killers as long as they can pay him.
He made viewers in tears with how he portrayed his character in this drama. He even won several awards such as the "Chinese Netizen Award," "Best Couple Award" (alongside actress Kim Tae Hee), "Ten Star Award," and "Grand Prize Award."

Aside from these recognitions, actor Joowon is lauded and appreciated by people for his genuine personality. That is why many are hoping that he can return to the big screen with a new exciting film like "Carter."
