Park So Dam’s Agency Reveal ‘Parasite’ Star’s Condition After Being Diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer
Park So Dam is currently focusing on her recovery after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
Her agency, Artist Company, revealed her status and assured fans that she was getting better after surgery.
Park So Dam's Agency Releases a Statement Regarding the Actress' Thyroid Cancer
In a statement, the management shared how the actress found out about her condition.
The Artist Company mentioned that during her regular health checkup, she was diagnosed with papillary cancer in her thyroid.
"After hearing the opinions of the medical staff, she has undergone an operation to treat it," Park So Dam's agency said.
At the moment, the actress is concentrating on her recovery "so she can greet everyone in a healthy state in the future.
In addition, the label also promised to do their best "to aid her in recovering her health."
Park So Dam will Not Appear in Promotional Activities of Her New Movie 'Special Cargo'
With her upcoming movie set to be released on January 12, Artist Company explained that the actress is "very disappointed" as she cannot personally appear to see her fans.
Moreover, she will also skip their promotional activities to focus on her health.
Park So Dam Transform as a Badass Driver in 'Special Cargo'
Park So Dam's new movie is a crime-action genre helmed and written by "Private Eye" director Park Dae Min.
It follows the story of a delivery driver named Eun Ha, played by the 30-year-old beauty, who encounters an unexpected incident.
Joining the "Special Cargo" cast includes Song Sae Byuk, child actor Jung Hyun Joon, "Taxi Driver" star Kim Eui Sung and Shin Soo Oh as detective Kang.
Interestingly, New Movie released the main poster featuring the actress as she took on the badass character of Eun Ha.
"She's put everything on the line for a non-returnable special delivery!" the phrase written on the poster reads.

She learned that she is delivering a human cargo and attempts to save the boy's life, Seo Won and is being chased by the corrupt police officer Kyung Pil.

In a previous interview, she shared her thoughts on filming for the upcoming movie and revealed the training that she had to do in order to play Eun Ha.
The actress shared that she put "a lot of effort" into undergoing action training and especially learning the special techniques in driving.
One of the main tricks that she has to master is drifting or a maneuver where the driver intentionally steers too much, causing the car to spin sideways.
The actress also sports colored hair in the upcoming movie, which is quite far from her character visuals in "Parasite."
To recall, Park So Dam took on the Role of Kim Gi Jeong, a.k.a Jessica, who became the art therapist to the Park family's young son, Da Song.
