Don’t mess with the Yeezus! Kim Kardashian’s fiancé, Kanye West has called on his fans not to buy anything with Louis Vuitton stamped all over it.
He was being interviewed by 92.3 NOW radio when he made the call for New York City to boycott the brand.
But the Yeezus singer is not all hatred as he pointed out wanting to give the French brand only at a given time.
"Everybody in New York City right now, don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January," the “Bound 2” singer was quoted as saying by TMZ.
Explaining the grudge against the retail brand, West said, according to the gossip Web site, that he was just trying to prove something to Louis Vuitton head, Yves Carcelle.
The brand’s official allegedly failed to make time for West and meet him. And it was all because, he was a black rapper, added TMZ.
The move has been described by TMZ as West’s one way to show the French designer that has got some “power and influence,” and whatever he would say now would affect the brand’s sale.
The rapper is said to be on an “anti-fashion crusade” recently because he feels the world’s top designers are not giving him a place in the industry “for being black.”
