Park Hee Soon will have a back-to-back K-drama this 2022. 

Following the success of Netflix's "My Name" and the webtoon-based "Dr. Brain," the versatile actor is onto another project.

The 52-year-old star is in discussion to lead the cast of SBS' new series "Trolley."

The upcoming mystery melodrama is penned by "Do You Like Brahms?" screenwriter Ryu Bo Ri. 

In an exclusive report cited by Sports Chosun, a representative from the entertainment industry revealed that the award-winning actor is offered to play the male lead. He will join Kim Hyun Joo, who is also courted to headline the forthcoming series. 

Expected to air in the second half of 2022, "Trolley'' depicts the story of a lawmaker's wife who hides her past. 

Being winded up in a chaotic situation, the couple encounters dilemmas because her secrets are about to be revealed to the world.

If Park Hee Soo accepts the offer, he will play Joong Do, a promising member of the National Assembly who has been re-elected to the office due to his impressive track record. 

Harboring an exceptional image to the public, Joong Do struggles to face a controversy involving his wife. 

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joo will portray the wife Hye Joo. Her peaceful life will be shattered due to her past.

Park Hee Soon's Upcoming Projects this 2022

"Trolley" will be Park Hee Soon's third K-drama this year.  

The actor previously confirmed his appearance in the upcoming Netflix series "A Model Family" with Jung Woo, Kim Sung Oh, Park Ji Yun, and Yoon Jin Seo as his fellow lead stars. 

The thriller mystery crime drama follows the story of a family who is on the brink of falldown due to bankruptcy and internal feuds. This is after one of them gets involved in a bloodthirsty drug ring.

In addition to Park Hee Soon's multiple projects in 2022, he is also set to join the cast of the action mystery series "moving" headlined by Jo In Sung, Han Hyo Joo, and "Miracle Cell in No. 7" star Ryu Seung Ryong. 

Apart from Kdramas, the 52-year-old star welcomed the year with a bang after landing a lead role in the movie "The Policeman's Lineage."

Released on January 5, the mystery crime film, which was based on the novel of the same name stars Jo Jin Woong and Choi Woo Shik. 

In the 2022 film, he transforms into a fiery chief inspector Hwang In Ho.

While the 52-year-old actor is having back-to-back dramas this year, 2021 was a significant year for Park Hee Soo. He garnered the attention of a global audience due to his series "My Name."

The award-winning actor was lauded for his stellar performance playing Choi Moo Jin, a drug syndicate boss who helped Yoon Ji Woo (Han So Hee) for her revenge.
