‘The Good Detective’ Cast Update 2022: Who Among the Actors Will Return in Season 2?
Two years later, JTBC's hit series "The Good Detective" is finally returning with Season 2, and K-drama fans are already looking forward to seeing the original cast.
Due to its popularity, the South Korean criminal-mystery drama, penned by Choi Jin Won and directed by Jo Nam Gook, "The Good Detective," which aired in 2020, has been announced to broadcast its sophomore season this 2022. Fans then rejoiced after learning the series had been renewed.
In October 2021, the production commenced filming, and only lead stars Jang Seung Jo and Son Hyun Joo were the first two who confirmed their return.
However, fans remain hopeful to see Lee Elijah, Oh Sung Je, and more reprise their roles.
Before the sequel hits the screen, let's get to know where are "The Good Detective" cast Jang Seung Jo, Son Hyun Joo, and more now.
Jang Seung Jo
Musical and drama actor Jang Seung Jo concluded his series "Snowdrop" in January. In this drama, he starred alongside Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK Jisoo.
Right after the series concluded, he began filming for "The Good Detective" season 2.

In December 2021, Jang Seung Jo's agency, Ace Factory, announced that he and his wife, Lina, welcomed their second child.
Son Hyun Joo
After "The Good Detective" season 1, award-winning actor Son Hyun Joo joined the lead cast of MBC's legal-comedy series, "Tracer," which just concluded last March.

In February, the production of "The Good Detective" season 2 postponed its filming schedule after Son Hyun Joo tested positive for COVID-19.
Lee Elijah
Versatile actress Lee Elijah, who mostly appeared in legal dramas such as "Ms. Hammurabi" and "The Chief Justice," often receives praises for her great acting. Her character as fierce reporter Jin Seo Kyung in "The Good Detective" impressed the viewers.
Meanwhile, her love line with Jang Seung Jo in the sequel is one of the many things the viewers are looking forward to see again.
Lee Elijah
Her latest drama was "Delayed Detective" where she played the role of Yun Hye Won.
Oh Jung Se
Following his excellent performance in tvN's 2020 drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," Oh Jung Se immediately starred in two series "Jirisan" and "Uncle."
This 2022, he is already booked to star in the new Korean film, "House of Spider," where he will work with "Parasite" actor Song Kang Ho, Im Soo Jung, Krystal Jung, and "Vincenzo" actress Jeon Yeo Bin.
He is also reportedly to join Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin in the sci-fi series "Ask the Stars.
