Son Hyun Joo Tests Positive for COVID-19 + 'The Good Detective' Season 2 Postponed
According to reports, "The Good Detective" lead star Son Hyun Joo has been diagnosed with COVID-19. His agency Starcom Entertainment released a statement on February 28, stating that he is currently receiving treatment at home.
In addition, the "Tracer" star already completed three doses of the vaccine. Due to his condition, all his work schedules have been put on hold to focus on his fast recovery.
Starcom added, "Son Hyun Joo was filming JTBC's "The Good Detective" Season 2 when he tested positive and filming is currently on pause."
Meanwhile, JTBC also released a statement announcing that they do not expect any problems with the drama's production schedule.

It was in April 2021 when multiple media reports confirmed the hit K-series "The Good Detective" Season 2. Son Hyun Joo and Jang Seung Jo will also reprise their role in the drama.
"The Good Detective" Season 2 began filming in October 2021 and is expected to premiere anytime soon this year.
The drama was first aired last July 2020 and received favorable reviews from viewers. "The Good Detective" depicts the story of detectives living in the real world where injustices and inequality are present.

Where Are 'The Good Detective' Cast Members Now
Before "The Good Detective" Season 2 started production, the cast members were busy with their individual schedules. Son Hyun Joo was working on his MBC drama "Tracer," which just returned with another season.
Jang Seung Jo, on the other hand, starred in JTBC's romance-suspense series "Snowdrop" where he worked with Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK Jisoo.

Meanwhile, JTBC hasn't disclosed yet whether Lee Elijah, Oh Jung Se, and other original cast will still appear in the series. Hence, since there will be a season 2, many anticipate they can get another romantic chemistry between Jang Seung Jo and Lee Elijah's characters.
