"Alchemy of Souls" is set in the backdrop of fictional nation Daeho, a country that does not exist in history. It will focus on the story of characters whose fates become twisted because of the unexpected magic that swaps their souls.
tvN Intrigues Viewers With 'Alchemy of Souls' Teasers
The two released clips showcase the characters of Jang Wook and Mu Deok Yi.
In the video, Jung So Min is Mu Deok Yi, a skilled assassin who is stuck in a weak body. Though she has a brave and fierce soul, her body cannot easily reciprocate the power she needs to show.
She gave an intriguing glimpse of her soul and revolutionary history as a swordswoman.
Lee Jae Wook, who is returning to drama this year, takes the role of Jang Wook, a mysterious assassin who attempts to burn the book in a fire, away from the palace. But he got confused when the book magically revived itself and got no traces of scorch.
As part of the Jang clan, he is considered as the young master, who is mature yet a troublemaker.

'Alchemy of Souls' Premiere Date and Other Cast
"Alchemy of Souls" is slated to premiere on June 18 at 9:10 p.m. (KST). It will also showcase a bunch of talented stars namely NU'EST's Hwang Minhyun, Oh My Girl's Arin, Shin Seung Ho, Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, Jo Jae Yoon, and "All of Us Are Dead" star Yoo In Soo.
tvN's forthcoming series is the comeback project of the famous Hong sisters - Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran. They are the creative duo who penned some of the successful K-dramas of all time, such as "Hotel Del Luna," "The Greatest Love," "Master's Sun," "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho," "You're Beautiful" and more.
Furthermore, the Hong sisters teamed up with "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" director Park Joon Hwa, who is in charge of helming the drama.
