THIS Actor Will Play Hyun Bin’s Captain Ri in ‘Crash Landing on You’ Musical
The "Crash Landing on You" musical gears up by unveiling official cast members for the upcoming show. Set to debut on September 16th at COEX Shinhan Card Artium in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the soon-to-be-released theater play is based on tvN's 2019 rom-com Kdrama which stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin.
Lee Jang Woo Will Play Captain Ri in 'Crash Landing on You' Musical
According to an outlet, Lee Jang Woo is selected to play North Korean soldier Captain Ri Jung Hyuk, initially portrayed by Hallyu star Hyun Bin.
"Crash Landing on You" musical will depict the story of Captain Ri, who is a son of a top-notch military general in North Korea, and fell in love with Yoon Seri, a South Korean heiress who accidentally went to the borders between two counties.

At the height of the drama, several viewers lauded the story and the chemistry of the lead stars.
Furthermore, because of the huge "Crash Landing on You" craze, it achieved the highest ratings in tvN drama history after garnering a whopping 24.1 percent viewership rating.

On the other hand, Lee Jang Woo is a versatile actor on small screens and in theaters. Furthermore, he is also a former K-pop group, 24/7.
Before his stint in the "Crash Landing on You" musical, the actor is best known for his role as T-ara's on-screen husband in "We Got Married" season 3 and Kdramas like "Your Majesty" and "My Only One."
Lee Jang Woo's last small screen appearance was playing the lead role in the 2020 series "Homemade Love Story" opposite Jin Ki Joo.

While Son Ye Jin pauses her career to give way to her pregnancy, Hyun Bin is set to return to the big screen with multiple projects.
The soon-to-be father will reprise his role as Im Chul Ryung in "Confidential Assignment 2: International" alongside Yoo Hae Jin, Girls' Generation's YoonA and Daniel Henney.
In addition, he will also team up with Jeon Yeo Been in the historical action film "Harbin."
