'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 19: The Truth That Binds Them All

In episode 19 of "Alchemy of Souls," the story behind Jin Bu Yeon's (Jung So Min) disappearance is revealed.

When Jin Mu (Jo Jae Yoon) and Jin Woo Tak (Joo Seok Tae) are looking for the ice stone that Jang Gang (Joo Sang Wook) discarded, Jin Bu Yeon is the one who is able to locate it.

It turns out that the young priestess is born with the power of the ice stone, bringing her back to life after dying inside her mother's womb. Her power also allowed her to manipulate the energy of the ice stone as she is the direct descendant of the Jin-Choi clan, the most powerful mages in Daeho.

Meanwhile, Jin Cho Yeon (Oh My Girl Arin) and Park Dang Gu (Yoo In Soo) discover the secret of the royal queen, who's actually a faker-a sorceress who only wants to rule the world with the ice stone.

Jang Uk Sacrifices Everything As The Man Born With The King's Star

To destroy the barrier created by the ice stone, Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) plans to use his energy to use Tansu, and transform the fog into rain.

Through this, everyone will be safe, especially Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun) who's about to die after fighting the soul shifter.

Jang Uk cooperates with Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho), asking him to act as the man born with the King's Star, the hero that will end the chaos.

Using his strength and skills, Jang Uk successfully penetrates the barrier and destroys it, gambling everything he has.

He instantaneously loses his energy after being free from the ice stone's shackles. Mu Deok (Jung So Min) is also unable to cast spells as Naksu (Go Yoon Jung).

At the training center, Park Jin (Yoo Jun Sang) reveals the truth to the royal family-the royal queen is a soul shifter who has been making soul ejectors for 10 long years.

Jang Gang unexpectedly arrives, holding himself accountable for all the ruckus. He then kills himself to pay for what he did.

Seo Yul and Naksu's Bittersweet Farewell

In episode 19, Seo Yul and Naksu-who's in Mu Deok's body-finally get their much deserved closure.

Mu Deok expresses her gratitude to Seo Yul for keeping her real identity a secret. She also tells her how much she treasures their memories in Danhyanggok, the place where they met.

Despite the heartache, Seo Yul keeps his feelings to himself, knowing that he doesn't stand a chance against Mu Deok's beloved Jang Uk.

At the end of the episode, Jang Uk thanks Mu Deok for everything she has done as his master, and quits being her pupil.

After Mu Deok ends their master-and-pupil relationship, Jang Uk confidently asks Mu Deok's hand for marriage.
