‘Confidential Assignment 2’ Cast Celebrates New Achievement at Korean Box Office
"Confidential Assignment 2" continues to hit milestones as the movie, which stars Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, Daniel Henney, and more, scores another achievement at the Korean box office.
The action-comedy film is the second installment from the 2017 film that also gained an overwhelming response from the public.
Five years after it aired, the beloved duo returned for "Confidential Assignment 2: International" with an additional partner, a new villain, and a different mission.
'Confidential Assignment 2' Hits More Than 3 Million Viewers
Officially released on September 7, the integrated computer network of the Film Promotion Committee released the total number of moviegoers who watched "Confidential Assignment 2: International'' since its theatrical release.
As obtained by News 1 Korea, Hyun Bin's movie surpassed 3 million viewers as of September 12.
Interestingly, the sequel hit twice as fast as the 2017 "Confidential Assignment" when it debuted on New Year's day.
It can be recalled that "Confidential Assignment 2: International" made headlines after hitting its first million mark just two days after its premiere.
The craze continues as the film reached over 2 million moviegoers in less than five days from its official debut.

To celebrate hitting more than 3 million viewers, the "Confidential Assignment 2" cast marked a new achievement for the movie.
"Over 3 million viewers on the 6th day of release! Let's Go International," the caption reads, featuring the cast members as shared by the film's distributor CJ ENM.

Directed by Lee Seok Hoon of "The Pirates" and "the Himalayas," "Confidential Assignment 2: International" follows the story of two detectives from different countries who unite for one special mission.
Hyun Bin reprised his role as North Korean detective Im Chul Ryung who comes back to South Korea to work with detective Kang Jin Tae, played by Yoo Hae Jin.
As they undergo a secret task, the duo will be working with a new partner from the FBI. Daniel Henney plays the dashing agent Jack, a detective from the United States, and will be teaming up with detectives Im Chul Ryung and Kang Jin Tae to uncover the North Korean criminal organization headed by the new villain Jin Seon Kyu who took the role of Jang Myeong Jun.
Meanwhile, Girls' Generation's YoonA returned as Park Min Young, Kang Jin Tae's sister-in-law, who is caught up in a love triangle between detective Im Chul Ryung and agent Jack.
Besides the lead stars, viewers will get to see an appearance from "Remarriage and Desires" star Park Hoon, and a reunion between Hyun Bin and Park Hyung Soo, who played Son Ye Jin's brother in "Crash Landing on You."
With the public's response to "Confidential Assignment 2," Hyun Bin's movie will reach another million in no time while dominating the Korean box office with a perfect streak at the top spot.
