So Ji Sub Reveals Gaining Weight After Being Married to Cho Un Jeong

So Ji Sub opens up about his career, married life, and health during the press conference of his new movie "Confession."

The top star is joined by co-actors Nana and "Money Heist Korea" star Kim Yoon Jin along with director Yoon Jong Seok to talk about the thriller mystery film.

During the press briefing So Ji Sub mentioned his wife's name for the first time in public.

The 44-year-old star was asked about the changes in his life now that he is married.

As obtained by an outlet, So Ji Sub responded to it with a positive tone saying that he is "happy" that he got married, describing Cho Un Jeong as a "great wife."

Moreover, as the actor spoke about his marriage life, he revealed that he has become "more secure" now that he is a husband.

In addition, he also shared that it made an impact on his health, especially with his insomnia or sleep disorder.

"Insomnia is gone, and I'm a little more mature psychologically," he said, adding "I really want to recommend marriage to people around me."

In April 2020, So Ji Sub was officially married to Cho Un Jeong, two years after dating.

Through his agency, he shared that he has "started a new beginning with my life partner" and greeted everyone as "an actor and someone who has become the head of a household."

At the time, So Ji Sub also spoke about why it took him so long to get married.

Despite the public especially his fans getting surprised by his announcement, he said "This is one of the most important decisions in my life that took so long to make."

It's noticeable that So Ji Sub gained a few pounds after the wedding.

As the press conference for the "Confession" movie continues, the actor admitted that he had put on weight after getting married.

He said that he gained weight during the early days of marriage, but felt sorry that he and his wife Cho Un Jeong couldn't eat together because of diet and upcoming projects.

However, he became comfortable around her and would share a meal together and admitted that there was a time that he "couldn't control it."

Set to be released on October 26, confession follows the story of an IT CEO named Yoo Min Ho, played by So Ji-Sub, who becomes a primary suspect in a murder case.

Representing Yoo Min Ho as his lawyer, Yang Shin Ae, played by Kim Yunjin is eager to win the case to retain her 100 percent winning rate.

However, the only person who holds the key to the truth is Kim Se Hee, portrayed by Nana.
