THIS ‘Lovestruck in the City’ Star Confirms Return in ‘Dr Romantic 3’

Another familiar face is set to return in "Dr. Romantic 3" through So Ju Yeon. After the hit medical series confirms its third season, viewers are looking forward to the cast lineup, hoping to see a mix of new and old characters.

So Ju Yeon Reprises Role in 'Dr. Romantic 3'

According to Star News, So Ju Yeon is the latest star to confirm her appearance in the much-awaited K-drama.

With this, the 28-year-old actress will join lead stars Han Seok Kyu, who played the role of Teacher Kim, Lee Sung Kyung as Dr. Cha Eun Jae, Ahn Hyo Seop who took the role of Dr. Seo Woo Jin, and Kim Joo Heon as a general surgery specialist Dr. Park Min Guk.

Adding to the list of "Dr. Romantic 3" cast who are reprising their roles are Jin Kyung as head nurse Oh Myung Shim, Yoon Na Moo, Shin Dong Wook, Byun Woo Min, Im Won Hee, Jung Ji Ahn, while new cast members include Lee Hong Nae of "The Uncanny Counter" and Lee Shin Young from "Crash Landing on You."

As for So Ju Yeon, she will return as Yoon Ah Reum, who used to be a fourth-year graduate of EM (Emergency Medicine) in "Dr. Romantic 2."

Yoon Ah Reum joined her seniors Seo Woo Jin and Cha Eun Jae after knowing that they will be transferred to Doldam Hospital and will be under Teacher Kim.

During her stay at Doldam, she met the nurse Park Eun Tak, played by Kim Min Jae. Viewers adored their love line as the duo exudes undeniable on-screen chemistry. 

However, Kim Min Jae's appearance in "Dr. Romantic 3" is yet to be confirmed.

Following the update regarding the cast lineup, the upcoming medical K-drama will start production in the first half of 2023, raising expectations on the challenges and what to expect in the third installment.

 So Ju Yeon's Drama List Besides the 'Dr. Romantic' Series

On the other hand, So Ju Yeon recently concluded her latest drama "Seasons of Blossom" where she played one of the lead roles.

The actress is joined by Kim Min Kyu, Kang Hye Won, Seo Ji Hoon, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Han Ji Eun as the lead stars.

Based on the webtoon novel, So Ju Yeon took the role of Han So Mang, who is described as a warm-hearted yet very timid person.

Apart from the recently concluded "Seasons of Blossom" and the "Dr. Romantic" series, the 28-year-old actress also headlined "Lovestruck in the City" with Ji Chang Wook and Ha Ji Won, as well as "Wild Guys," and "I Hate Going to Work" both in 2019.
