Chae Jong Hyeop, Kim So Hyun To Lead 'Is It A Coincidence'
Good news circulated on media outlets after IOK Company, Chae Jong Hyeop's agency, announced that the actor confirmed his participation in the new romance series "Is It A Coincidence" (literal translation). In addition to the agency's statement, the young star officially starts filming the project.

Kim So Hyun was first confirmed to star in the drama.
"Is It a Coincidence" is based on a webtoon of the same name. It depicts the story of young people finding true love and their dreams after accidentally bumping into their first love from ten years ago.

Chae Jong Hyeop will lead the series by portraying the role of Kang Hoo Young, a handsome and smart financial planner residing in the United States who never needed to put in lots of effort to achieve great results.

Though he has almost everything, he gets bored with his life but finds his heart fluttering again when he returns to South Korea. He unexpectedly reunites with Lee Hong Joo, his first love from high school.
Meanwhile, Kim So Hyun is Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love because of the trauma and painful memories she had from her past relationship.

"Is It A Coincidence" was supposed to be Chae Jong Hyeop's next onscreen project after the conclusion of his sports romance series "Love All Play." Fortunately, the star will make an immediate comeback with another drama this coming December with "Unlock My Boss."

Joining him in the series are actors Park Sung Woong and Seo Eun Su. It foretells the story of a company president who gets trapped in a smartphone because of a suspicious incident and a jobless young man whose life changes after picking up the mysterious smartphone.
The drama is scheduled to air on December 7 on ENA Channel.
