According to a report, Sports Seoul tried to make a phone call with the actor's family as soon as the news broke but his parents are reserved and cautious to give a statement.
The Hallyu star's father, Song Yong Gak, reportedly kept silent and hung up the phone when the media reporter revealed his identity.
As for the actor's mother, it was reported she showed a cautious attitude, and responded by saying, "I have nothing to say."
Song Joong Ki, Wife Had Been Dating for 3 Years Prior to Marriage
Amid the height of Song Joong Ki's marriage with Katy Louise Saunders, a former reporter turned YouTuber Lee Jin Ho revealed on his channel that the couple has been dating for quite some time.
In a video, titled "Song Joong Ki remarried! The crucial secret that the groom-to-be couldn't tell," he mentioned that the two have been together years after his agency confirmed the actor's relationship status.
During a get-together along with the "Ro Ki Wan" cast, Song Joong Ki reportedly showed the team the photos of Katy Louise Saunders on his phone.

Moreover, the former reporter also claimed that the actor revealed how he and the British actress met and the beginning of their relationship.
"He told his colleagues that Katy had settled in Korea for a year and they had been seeing each other for nearly three years," Lee Jin Ho said on his YouTube channel.
