Kdrama Couple: Hwang Jung Eum and Kim Yong Jun

Hwang Jung Eum did not have a very successful love life on her recent hit drama "Secrets." First her character went to jail for her boyfriend's crime. After her character got out of jail, things did not improve. Her boyfriend dumped her, then she was pursued by a man who wanted to make her life miserable.

Fortunately, in real life, the actress had a much easier time of finding true love. 

In 2009, the actress and her boyfriend, singer Kim Yong Jun, appeared on the second season of the celebrity-match-up reality show "We Got Married." While they did date before appearing on the show they are still the only couple that has remained together after filming ended.

They both made their debut as singers. Hwang began her career with the girl group Sugar. She then appeared in the dramas "High Kick Through the Roof," "Giant," "Can't You Hear My Heart?" and "Incarnation of Money."

Kim Yong Jun is part of the trio SG Wannabee that  had a hit with their first album "Timeless." To date the group has released six albums. While the members also pursue solo careers, Kim Young Jun has focused on contributing to drama soundtracks and sang two duets with Hwang Jung Eum.

He is serving his military duty and will be released early in 2015.

When his military duty separated them, Hwang Jung Eum was asked if he missed him.

"We've been dating for about 7 years now," she said. "We passed the 'I miss you if I don't see you every single day stage.' It's more than love now. It's a strong friendship. He feels like family."

They almost broke up for good when she was filming "High Kick Through The Roof." Rumors linked her with co-star Daniel Choi. Kim Young Jun heard the rumors and got upset. He also didn't like her kissing scenes. They fought and decided to break up. She was heartbroken.

"I need Yong Jun for everything to be happy," she said.

But they did not stay broken up. After a few weeks, she called him and he showed up. They have never come close to breaking up since then.

These days the couple is described as one of the most "lovey-dovey" couples in the kdrama celebrity world. They wear matching couple shirts, give each other facials, participate in charity events and like to go to the movies together. They occasionally double date with friends, singer Se7en and his longtime girlfriend actress Park Han Byul.

After her terrible time in "Secrets," it's nice to see Hwang Jung Eum so happy.
