This incident began on 4 February when Actress Park Eun Bin's live streaming session was held via her own web page. During the session, Park talked about her experience with the popular "Dubai Chewy Cookies" and answered fans' everyday questions in a relaxed, conversational way. Many people commented on the broadcast, including one from an account that was identified as Lee's.

YTN says that the comment said, "Please speak like Woo Young-woo." In the hit 2022 TV show "The Strange Lawyer Woo Young-woo," Park played Woo Young-woo, a new lawyer on the autism spectrum. During the broadcast, Park did not acknowledge or respond to the comment.

After the live session, people online criticized the comment, saying it was wrong because the character is so sensitive. Park has always maintained a cautious approach when it comes to depicting Woo Young-woo. There are those who claim that mimicking speech patterns linked to autism may be inappropriate or damaging.

In an interview in 2022, after the drama finished, Park had an opinion about this subject. Woo Young-woo's behavior and manner of speaking are completely inaccurate representations of how someone with autism would behave because Woo Young-woo was trying to portray a stereotypical person with Asperger's Syndrome.

"I felt that their appearance should not be used as a tool." In its coverage, the Chosun Daily used this quote to show how Park's earlier comments came back up during the controversy.

As more people spoke out against Lee, people started to pay attention to how he and his team responded. The Kiwoom Heroes talked about the situation directly in an official statement that YTN cited.

A team member said, "Lee Joo-hyung did not intentionally leave a comment," and added, "He also recognizes his mistake." The statement made it seem like the player knew how people would react and agreed that what he said was wrong.

The event has sparked a bigger conversation in South Korea about how celebrities affect people, how people act online, and how sensitive people are to how disability is shown in popular culture.

Park didn't say anything about the issue in public, but the controversy made it clear that people in the entertainment and sports industries should be careful when using digital spaces.
