Kim Jong Kook Shares Struggles as Workaholic

In the April 16 episode of "My Little Old Boy," Kim Jong Kook shared updates about his life that made him realize the reality he has as a public figure.

Yang Jae Jin and Yang Jae Woong, who are brothers and licensed psychiatrists, also made appearances in the show.

During the broadcast, Lee Sang Min jokingly said that his co-star Kim Jong Kook seriously needs counseling.

Lee Sang Min shared that even though the "Running Man" member believes he is fine, he still has unhealthy obsessions and poor anger coping skills.

The host pointed out that Kim Jong Kook has a serious addiction to exercise, which the latter confirmed.

Kim Jong Kook then explained that he is fully aware of his problems he needs to address. According to him, he doesn't have any desires and the only reason he earns money is to support his future family.

The "Running Man" mainstay continued that in the fast-paced entertainment industry, he sometimes questions himself about certain things.

Kim Jong Kook began his career in the music industry in 1995. He eventually established a name in entertainment scene by appearing in various variety programs.

"Sometimes I wonder what I am really living for. I have experienced hard-hitting moments in my life."

Kim Jong Kook candidly shared he considers retiring from entertainment realm and just pack his things to establish a gym in the United States.

"I would like to set up a gym in the US and retire from work immediately, but I cannot stop working so I have just been working consistently."

In response to his thoughts and problems, Yang Jae Jin said that Kim Jong Kook seems to have a guilty conscience when he takes a break from work.

The psychiatrist then suggested that Kim Jong Kook needs to practice planning his breaks and make sure to find the reason and purpose of his life.
