With the success of her K-drama comeback, Kim Hee Ae expressed her gratitude to viewers as "QueenMaker" received an overwhelming response from the public.

The award-winning actress once again delivered an amazing performance after taking on the role of Hwang Do Hee, the head of the corporate strategy department, who is known to be the EunSung Group's "fixer." She worked alongside Moon So Ri, who played the eccentric labor rights lawyer Oh Kyung Sook.

In the 11-episode Netflix series, the duo teamed up to fight influential people, running for the mayoral race.

"QueenMaker" depicts "womance," a unique friendship between two strong female characters.

As the Netflix series continues to gain the attention of viewers worldwide, Kim Hee Ae delivered a special message for fans and viewers.

Kim Hee Ae 'Thankful' to Play Hwang Do Hee in 'QueenMaker'

Through Kim Hee Ae's agency, YG Entertainment, the South Korean top star talks about how special "QueenMaker" is to her.

"It was a special work that makes me feel like I grew up with Hwang Do Hee," she said, as posted on the agency's official Instagram.

Moreover, the actress also expressed how grateful and "honored" she is to act alongside such amazing and "professional actors."

"It is a new feeling to be able to see their acting again on the screen," she added.

Meanwhile, expressing her feelings about the release of "QueenMaker," she hoped that there would be an opportunity for the world to see a "good drama with such a suspenseful subject matter in Korea" as well as the talent of her fellow actors.

In the comment section, fans agreed that the new Netflix series delivered an outstanding story.

In addition, viewers also praised Kim Hee Ae's portrayal of Hwang Do Hee and how her performance deserves a nod at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

To recall, 'QueenMaker" is Kim Hee Ae's K-drama comeback three years after the success of the makjang series "The World of the Married" with Han So Hee and Park Hae Joon.

Interestingly, Kim Hee Ae is in talks to headline another K-drama on Netflix.

Whirlwind," a political K-drama, stars the award winning actress and the equally talented actor, Sol Kyung Gu, who recently appeared in Kill Bok Soon.

Will There be 'QueenMaker' Season 2?

Shortly after "QueenMaker" made its Netflix debut, the political K-drama entered the top 10 TV shows worldwide.

According to Flix Patrol, a streaming data aggregator platform, Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri's K-drama lands 5th place, ranking first place in seven countries, including Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, and more.

With this, viewers are looking forward to seeing if "QueenMaker" will return for season 2.

However, as seen in the last episode, Kim Hee Ae's character, who is at the prison, was visited by a person who knew how she transformed Oh Kyung Sook into Seoul's mayor.

The visitor is seeking Hwang Do Hee's help, hinting that she will be back for another mission.

Unfortunately, Netflix and drama officials are yet to confirm if "QueenMaker" season 2 will be renewed or not.
