Song Joong Ki made heads turn at his first-ever Cannes Film Festival appearance.
The South Korean heartthrob is winning in love and in life after starring in back-to-back projects. His newest movie, "Hopeless," which was directed and penned by Kim Chang Hoon, is one of the South Korean films screened at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

The "Hopeless" cast, headlined by Song Joong Ki, Bibi, and Hong Sang Bin, graced the event and posed before the camera, overlooking the Majestic Cannes.
The South Korean heartthrob showed off his unique charm as he smiled brightly for the media.
Song Joong Ki's Cannes Film Festival 2023 look is a laid-back feel, a light blue oversized jacket, paired with a white top and cream colored bottom.
Interestingly, his outfit is cohesive with his "Hopeless" co-stars Bibi and Hong Sang Bin, who also wore a white and cream-colored ensemble.
According to reports, the top star along with his co-actors arrived in France two days before the main event, which is scheduled for May 24.
With this, the public can expect more of Song Joong Ki and the "Hopeless" cast as the film will have its world premiere at the prestigious festival.

To recall, "Hopeless," which was initially called "Hwaran," is among the projects he did after the success of "Reborn Rich."
Back in September 2022, it was confirmed that Song Joong Ki had agreed to appear in the upcoming film without pay. This is his way to support the team, as he believes in the project's artistic quality.
The soon-to-be released movie is a noir film that depicts the life of Yeon Gyu, played by Hong Sa Bin. His goal is to escape his hellish life, and he accidentally meets Chi Geon, portrayed by Song Joong Ki.
Hopeless
Born and raised in the town, he is a mid-level boss of a criminal organization. Due to their sudden connection, 17-year-old Yeon Gyu became a member of Chi Geon's gang.
In a separate report, Song Joong Ki opened up about his expectations for the film and his reaction upon learning that "Hopeless" will become part of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
As obtained by a media outlet, the South Korean top star says he feels "honored" with the recognition of their upcoming movie.
Moreover, he is also proud" to represent "Hopeless" at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2023.
"Hopeless is a film that was made with pure passion and dedication from everyone involved," he said, adding that he is excited for global viewers to watch the noir movie.
