Song Joong Ki is in hot water after the actor made a remark about fatherhood and working as an actor.
Amid his busy schedule, the South Korean welcomed the biggest highlight of his life, and that is welcoming his firstborn with wife, Katy Louise Saunders.
On June 14, the actor's agency, High Zium Studio, announced surprising news to the public, confirming that the top star "became the father of a baby boy in Italy."
Right after it, Song Joong Ki shared the delightful news on his fan cafe, along with a glimpse of his son.
He mentioned his successful career, from wrapping up the filming of his movie "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" in Hungary to attending the Cannes Film Festival for the film "Hopeless."
Song Joong Ki then revealed the news about his family and mentioned how it felt like a "dream" to him.
"Here, in my wife's hometown of Rome, we happened to welcome our baby. It's a healthy son.. and both the baby and his mother... are in very good health," he said, as obtained by a media outlet.
Following his fan cafe post, viewers can't get enough of Song Joong Ki's growing family.
Song Joong Ki's Comments About Being a Father and the Risk of Losing a Job
In his recent interview in China, he was asked about how he would cope with the changes and mentioned a Chinese proverb saying, "A double harvest in work and family life."
Expressing his thoughts in English, Song Joong Ki explained the connection between being a father and having a thriving career, noting that experiencing downsides is unavoidable.
"Sometimes, being a father, being a husband, that means losing a job in this business," he said, adding, "Being a father and having a baby, and having a marriage with a woman, in this business, sometimes, it looks like [I'm] losing my job more and more."

Although the actor doesn't have anything against it or malicious intent, his remark sparks criticism from the public.
Song Joong Ki's Comment Angers Public
As obtained by a media outlet, netizens were furious about his statement and took to online communities to express their anger and disappointment.
Among those comments is a remark saying that "he doesn't need to worry about losing his job" if he is a great actor. While others raised the issue that things are harder for actresses after they get married and have a baby.
"The fact that it's a male actor saying this-not even a female actor, LOL. Even if his fans drop, his jobs won't be affected."
However, Song Joong Ki's remark might be because of the stricter situations in South Korea for celebrities when it comes to having a relationship, getting married, and starting a family, as there are cases where their work got affected because of the changes like having a family.
