Park Bo Young, who has established her career with her rom-com dramas, returns to the big screen for the first time in five years with a challenging performance.

In the forthcoming film, Park Bo Young takes on the role of Myung Hwa, a nurse with a warm heart and positive outlook in life. She's the loving wife of Min Seong who is played by Park Seo Joon.

When a devastating earthquake hits the country, Myung Hwa loses her own faith as everything around her collapses.

In one photo, Myung Hwa continues to tend to sick and injured patients in spite of the extreme situation, leaving fans in awe with the actress' transformation.

Through "Concrete Utopia," Park Bo Young is able to widen her career spectrum and try on a new role that she hasn't done before.

Though she's a multi-talented star, Park Bo Young showcased her dedication to her craft as she took fundamental classes for her character who has a job as a nurse.

It is also revealed that she consulted real nurses in mastering first aid in a disaster situation, resulting in expectations for the new film being heightened.

Uhm Tae Hwa, "Concrete Utopia" director, also tipped his hat to Park Bo Young after seeing a different yet improved performance from the Hallyu actress.

He added, "I was surprised to see a new side of her. She truly satisfied everyone with her intense acting transformation."

In addition, the director also hinted at Park Bo Young and Park Seo Joon's onscreen chemistry, which is a factor that no one should miss in the approaching work.
