Doh Kyungsoo shares heartwarming stories with his longtime celebrity friend, Jo In Sung.

Their friendship started after the EXO member joined the 2014 hit K-drama "It's Okay, That's Love," headlined by Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin. Despite their 10-year age gap, they maintain their relationship, and remain close friends through the years.

During his interview ahead of his comeback movie "The Moon," Doh Kyungsoo mentioned Jo In Sung and his influence on his career.

Doh Kyungsoo Reveals How Jo In Sung Changed His Mindset About Dealing With Challenges

Being in the industry for over a decade, Doh Kyungsoo says he learned a lot, especially about dealing with his emotions, thoughts, and actions.

One of the traits that people noticed in him was being calm and composed amid the situation. According to him, he was able to "find the proper frame of mind" with the help of his close friends, including Jo In Sung.

"I was positively influenced by close actor friends," he said, as obtained by SBS Star, adding, "My attitude that Jo In Sung mentioned is what I learned from my friends, especially from Jo In Sung himself."

Grateful that he was able to meet such amazing friends, Doh Kyungsoo admitted that he didn't have the same mindset before.

"I used to be the one who gets easily swayed and suffers from the influence of outside events," he furthered.

Besides being a good influence on him, the EXO member shared he and Jo In Sung's promise after finding out that their movies would debut during the same period.

The second half of 2023 showcases a ton of amazing movies, whether they be action, comedy, fantasy, and more.

Apart from that, these films not only boast an intriguing storyline but also a star-studded cast.

Among which are the recently-premiered "Smugglers" and the upcoming sci-fi film "The Moon."

Interestingly, Jo In Sung stars in "Smugglers" as the national smuggling kingpin, Kwon Pil Sam, while Doh Kyungsoo plays the stranded astronaut, Hwang Seon Woo, in "The Moon."

According to the singer-actor, he and Jo In Sung made a promise after learning that "Smugglers" has almost the same release date as "The Moon."

Doh Kyungsoo shared that he and the "Escape from Mogadishu" star would often text each other, and would often asked about each other's projects.

"We did say stuff like, 'How come both of our movies are set to be released around the same period?' Our hope is for both of our films to do well," the EXO member added.

Interestingly, Doh Kyungsoo revealed that he and Jo In Sung "promised to check out each other's movies and talk about them."

"Smugglers," which also stars Kim Hye Soo and Yum Jung Ah, officially premiered on July 26 and is currently topping the Korean box office.

Meanwhile, Doh Kyungsoo's movie "The Moon" is slated to debut on August 2.
