Hinting at the premise of the movie, Doh Kyungsoo, shared that "The Moon" depicts the journey of an astronaut struggling to survive while he's thousands of miles away from the Earth.

With this once-in-a lifetime opportunity, he became the youngest member to join Korea's first manned spacecraft expedition.

Unfortunately, things went downhill after he was stranded 384,000 kilometers away from Earth.

During the filming, Doh Kyungsoo revealed that he refuses to drink water because of his costume.

"I have to shoot most scenes alone, but that was okay, actually. What was hard was the fact that I couldn't really drink water," he shared.

According to the actor, that is because he doesn't want to experience the hassle of going to the bathroom and taking off his space suit costume from time to time.

His dedication to his role was highly praised by "The Moon" director Kim Yong Hwa.

He said that he has been watching his projects and is among the celebrities whom he adores. Describing Doh Kyungsoo as a "great actor," selfless," and a "real man," the director was also captivated by the singer-actor's achievements in life.

"I've listened to his life story, from the environment he grew up in, to how he got to be where he is today. I know more about him than most people. I would say that there is a great, great actor in him," he said.

"He also had his own struggles in his life. Someone who is very similar to Hwang Sun Woo in those ways. And yet, he does not show those painful memories to others," he said, adding that it is one of the actor's charms.
