On August 11, SBS TV's "The First Responders 2" dropped its third episode which elicited polarized reactions among the viewers.

During its premiere, the series received great response from viewers around the world. It even recorded a high score of 7.1% nationwide.

Just when things go smoothly, the production surprises the fans with a heart-wrenching twist in the drama. Bong Jo Din, played by Son Ho Jun, faced his sudden demise in episode 3.

In the show, he ate the candles and chose to die in order to preserve the evidence of a serial arsonist that the police detectives are hunting down.

After the reason behind his death was broadcasted, many viewers took to social media their honest opinions of the show.

One fan commented that the reason was absurd and "killing off" a main character in the third episode is ruthless. Meanwhile, some believed that it was inevitable.
