Im Soo Jung Update 2023: Actress Makes Silver Theater Return & More

The long wait is over for Im Soo Jung as the actress finally makes her anticipated comeback with well-curated projects under her belt.

This 2023, she's dominating the silver theaters with her brand new films "Cobweb" and "Single in Seoul," two amazing dramas helmed perfectly in their respective genres.

Im Soo Jung To Dominate Theaters With 'Cobweb' & 'Single in Seoul'

After four long years, Im Soo Jung is finally back to the big screen with a slew of projects.

The veteran actress makes her long anticipated comeback in the film-within-a-film work "Cobweb" with top stars Song Kang Ho, Oh Jung Se, Krystal Jung and Jeon Yeo Bin.

In the black comedy film, Im Soo Jung plays a clever actress and a wife to Oh Jung Se. It depicts the passionate director's desire to refilm the ending of his 1970s film to perfection.

"Cobweb" premieres in theaters nationwide this September 27, coinciding the mid-autumn holiday. It also goes international as it will be distributed in the Philippines on October 4.

Fans from London, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and the US will also be able to see the film in early 2024.

On the other hand, Im Soo Jung will also star in "Single in Seoul" where she transforms into a publishing editor who meets an old friend, played by Lee Dong Wook, during the height of her career.

As they reconcile and go on with their lives as "singles," old wounds reopen which allow them to meet and get to know the "new them" with no inhibitions.

"Single in Seoul" is much anticipated work in the South Korean cinemas and it's expected to air some time in 2024. There's still no news about its exact release but it's now in its post-production phase so stay tuned for more details.

Im Soo Jung's 'Melancholia,' 'Search: WWW' & More

While waiting for the premiere of the veteran's brand new works, Im Soo Jung's filmography boasts top-notch works available on worldwide streaming platforms.

Among them are her most note-worthy works which include "Melancholia" where she partnered up with Lee Do Hyun. She played the role of a Math teacher in the show.

Meanwhile, Im Soo Jung transformed into an intelligent search department director in the series "Search: WWW." It marked the actress' first ever action thriller which impressed the viewers.

In addition to that, she also starred in the films "Finding Mr. Destiny," "Time Renegade" and "Mother," which are all available on Netflix for international viewers. Check them out now.
