‘The Killing Vote’ Episode 9: Lim Ji Yeon Discovers Secret Room that Might Be Gaetal’s

"The Killing Vote" episode 9 illustrates the loophole that Lim Ji Yeon found following Park Sung Woong's grand escape.

Another week means another heart-stopping scene from the SBS drama series, as the webtoon-based K-drama is slowly unveiling who the real Gaetal is.

Headlined by Park Hae Jin, Lim Ji Yeon, and Park Sung Woong, the 12-episode K-drama focuses on the journey of finding the person behind the killing vote, whom the public named Gaetal.

He executes the death penalty based on the public's vote. On the other hand, the police, led by Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin) and cybercrime division head Joo Chan (Lim Ji Yeon), have been pursuing the mysterious masked man.

As the K-drama nears its ending, viewers get to see who the real Gaetal is.

'The Killing Vote' Episode 9 Recap

SBS showcased a slew of notable scenes in "The Killing Vote," episode 9.

From Kim Ji Hoon's connection with Professor Kwon to a group of Gaetal, both Kim Moo Chan and Joo Chan are stressing out how to wrap up the investigation regarding the killing vote.

In the first part of the episode, it unveiled the true relationship between Professor Kwon Seok Joo and Kim Ji Hoon.

Prior to his daughter's brutal murder, he regularly visited an orphanage, where he found a smart young boy whom he liked to adopt.

Unfortunately, right before officially adopting him, a devastating incident happened to his daughter.

As a result, he asked one of his friends to look after the kid, who had been traumatized by the deaths of his parents and, at the same time, learned about Kwon Seok Joo's imprisonment.

In the second half of the series, Kim Ji Hoon was introduced as one of the members of Gaetal's group, along with Yang Hye Jin, the doctor at Sae Yeon Hospital, who is also posing as Ji Hoon's grandmother.

The 9th episode illustrates them as the members of Gaetal who are working on the killing vote.

Meanwhile, Kim Moo Chan and Joo Chan think that there's a spy within the police and have to work on their plan individually.

While Kim Moo Chan is out doing his own investigation, Joo Chan has found a loophole regarding Gaetal's system.

Joo Chan found out that Gaetal has been hacking the mobile phones of participants in the killing vote. Her revelation was aired on television when they interrupted Chae Do Hee's broadcast.

As for Joo Chan, he and his fellow cybercrime division member, Jo Dan, infiltrated Lee Min Soo's house, where she found out a secret.

It turned out that he has a secret room just like the ones that Gaetal uses. Here, she saw a video of Kwon Na Rae, Professor Kwon's late daughter, which was on Lee Min Soo's computer.

This suggests that Lee Min So might be Gaetal's next target, as Professor Kwon is planning his grand revenge against him.
