Yang Se Jong Spills Beans on Choosing Career in Acting

In one of his interviews, published on November 5, the "Temperature of Love" star shared the story behind his acting career journey.

After he starred in Netflix's "Doona!", the celebrity has been appearing in various advertisements and interviews.

"Doona!" features the complicated romance between an ordinary university student Won Jun and retired K-pop idol Doona, who happen to meet at a shared house.

After three-year of break, Yang Se Jong returned in front of the camera and took the role of Lee Won Jun, a college student who lives an ordinary life and supports himself to finish a degree.

The actor showed again his passion for his craft through this work and projected a new side of his acting.

Now that he made a comeback, Yang Se Jong was asked what made him choose to become an actor.

Yang Se Jong: 'I thought their actions evoked sympathy from people'

In response, Suzy's recent on screen partner said that after watching a school play, he decided to explore the world of acting.

"When I was in high school, I first saw a play titled 'Snow Drop,' and I laughed and cried at some point because I was moved to sing, dance, and take everything from my perspective."

He continued, "When I saw my colleagues, they were crying too. Seeing this made me want to do it because I thought their actions evoked sympathy from people."

Yang Se Jong also elaborated that he was not a player but was determined to enter physical education with Taekwondo. However, after being immersed in the play, he thought of quitting and started pursuing acting right away."

Genre Yang Se Jong Wants to Try Next

Following his romance drama, Yang Se Jong was asked about the genre he wanted to do next.

"Even if it's not necessarily a melodrama, I will do it unconditionally if it's a work that makes my heart beat regardless of the genre. Whether it's noir, mystery, thriller, or legal, I will try as soon as my heart gets excited about it."
