Bae Suzy gets honest as she talks about her preparation for the hit K-drama "Doona."

Other than this, the singer-actress dishes on her closeness with co-star Yang Se Jong and the similarities they had prior to the Netflix series.

One of the most talked-about K-dramas in October 2023, "Doona" is based on the webtoon "The Girl Downstairs," which depicts the story of a K-pop star named Lee Doona, who decides to leave her blossoming career at the height of her popularity.

Choosing to live under the radar, Lee Doona met engineering student Lee Won Joon in a shared apartment.

As obtained by a media outlet, Bae Suzy shared that her character often wears comfy yet revealing outfits. One example of these are crop tops.

"I was careful of the continuity too," she said, adding, "You'd know if you watch the drama. What Doona wears is... In the drama, Doona usually stays at home, and she wears things like cropped T-shirts, sleeveless T-shirts, or short T-shirts."

However, the actress revealed the time when she forgot about her diet, making her appear bloated on TV.

"But one day I'd eaten a lot and had a bit of tummy. But then, luckily, it was a scene where I had to eat seaweed soup. I thought I was safe," she said, adding that there was a scene where her belly was noticeable considering that seaweed swells the tummy.

She even recalled the moment when she told the director, Lee Jeong Hyo, about this and said, "The director went, 'Oh? Doona? ' He was like that. I told him it was because I had too much soup. That's the continuity I'd thought about."

On the other hand, after Bae Suzy talked about her diet, Yang Se Jong also shared beauty tips he got from his co-star.

In the Netflix series "Doona," Yang Se Jong's appearance must look way younger than his real age, as the 30-year-old actor portrays the role of a college student, Lee Won Joon.

According to him, Bae Suzy taught him to use Epsom salt, which he uses in the bathtub for blood circulation.

In addition, Yang Se Jong is also cautious about his weight and often checks his weight before filming.

According to him, it's also for the continuity of the character.

Interestingly, did you know that "Doona" is Yang Se Jong's first project after finishing his military service?

He also revealed in his previous interview that he accepted the offer because of the director who helmed the hit K-drama "Crash Landing on You."
