MBC Updates Public With Extension of Namgoong Min’s ‘My Dearest’
Following the surprising announcement, MBC spoke about updates regarding Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin's K-drama "My Dearest" and its plan for additional episodes.
Ahead of the drama's postponement to give way to the sporting event, the broadcast network mentioned their plans to extend the historical K-drama due to the public's positive response.
'My Dearest' Part 2 Extension Update
After weeks of waiting, a media outlet cited the update regarding MBC's plan.
In a report, a drama official told Newsen that the plan to extend the K-drama's broadcast is "still under consideration."

According to the representative, they will make further announcements in the coming weeks.
"That's why we can't confirm the final filming on the 18th," as mentioned by the drama official.
It can be recalled that an official statement was released on November 1, notifying the public regarding MBC's plan to extend the series.
In a statement, they mentioned the growing popularity of "My Dearest," Part 2, as well as the impressive increase in viewership.
"Due to the popularity of the drama, we are positively discussing an extension and are adjusting the programming plan by slightly delaying the scheduled end date."
On the other hand, following the reports regarding the show's plan for extension, the drama officials also shared that they will start the additional filming once "the extension is confirmed."
Interestingly, the representative also added that the additional filming "is planned," giving viewers hope to see more of the love story between Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae.

With this, "My Dearest" part 2 took first place in its time slot across all channels.
