[BREAKING] Ryu Jun Yeol, Lee Hyeri Confirm Split After 7 Years of Dating

Longtime celebrity couple Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hyeri have officially ended their relationship.

The shocking news was confirmed by the stars' respective agencies.

In a report, Ryu Jun Yeol's agency, C-JeS Studios, together with Lee Hyeri's agency, Creative Group ING, confirmed the duo's breakup.

"It is true that they broke up."

Moreover, the labels assured everyone that they were on good terms and "decided to become just friends" after much consideration. 

Ryu Jun Yeol and Girl's Day Hyeri met on the set of the 2015 hit K-drama "Reply 1988," along with co-stars Park Bo Gum, Go Kyung Pyo, and Lee Dong Hwi, also known as the Ssangmundong Squad. 

The former couple portrayed the roles of Kim Jung Hwan and Deok Sun.

At the height of the K-drama, eagle-eyed fans noticed Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol commenting on each other's posts, signaling a budding romance.

It was in 2017 when Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri confirmed their relationship, sending "Reply 1988" fans into a major frenzy.

At the time, reports cited the statement of Jun Yeol's agency, confirming that their relationship "progressed from being friends to a couple." Dispatch also released paparazzi photos of them having a casual date by the lake.

Meanwhile, fans, especially the "Reply 1988" viewers, were surprised to hear the shocking news regarding the couple's relationship status.

Over social media, netizens expressed their sadness after hearing Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hyeri's breakup.

In 2022, the Girl's Day member swooned not just her then-boyfriend Ryu Jun Yeol but also fans with her sweet gesture for his birthday.

At the time, the actor posted a surprise treat for him of Lee Hyeri while on the set of his drama "Money Game."

The actress not only visited him on the set but also prepared a coffee truck for the entire cast and crew.

"Happy birthday to my beloved Ryu Jun Yeol. From Ryu Jun Yeol's No. 1 fan," the coffee truck banner reads, while another banner says, "I've already booked plane tickets for the 'Money Game' team. Let's go win an Emmy Award next year!"

On the other hand, the former couple seemed to be focusing on their respective careers after their breakup.

Ryu Jun Yeol headlines the upcoming K-drama "Money Game" with Park Jung Min, Chun Woo Hee, Park Hae Soon, and more.

In addition, he previously participated in the U.S. marathon and plans on joining another competition in the future.

As for the actress, Lee Hyeri is slated to make her big screen comeback with "Victory," alongside Park Se-wan.
